Real Squeal Festival under way in Lyons | News
LYONS, GA (WTOC)- The 3rd annual Real Squeal Festival is under way in Lyons. Amateur grillers have packed downtown to show off their BBQ. They are competing in categories like chicken, ribs, brisket and more. Town leaders say it is drawing cooks and crowds from far and wide.
"It is growing and growing. I think we have already passed what we had this time last year and twice as many tomorrow," said Lyons Mayor Willis Neesmith.
More than 30 professional teams will compete for trophies and prizes starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. Friday night will end with fireworks.
