Two DNR rangers honored by governor
ATLANTA (WTOC)- Gov. Nathan Deal on Monday recognized 18 public safety professionals for acts of heroism and eight for contributions to their profession at the Governor's Public Safety Awards ceremony.
Two local Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources rangers were among those recognized for their heroism. Ranger First Class Clint Jarriel and Sgt. Don Dasher were awarded medals for rescuing three people from the Ohoopee River near Reidsville in July 2011.
